A survey was conducted last school year, to new york city students, there parents and teachers. It took over 2 million dollars to conduct. I myself took this survey in my homeroom period and as well as my hole school. It asked about the teachings of the teachers the safety of the school. and other things about the school and how its ran by my principle. Over 1.5 million parents, students and teachers took out the time to help establish better city schools which was 72% this year, 4 more then last years 62%. 94% of all the parents who did this survey, said that they were "satisfied" and "very satisfied" with there children's teachers and the feed back they give there kids. For example, the teachers would give back helpful feedback on class work, homework and tests. I agree because in my school all my teachers are helpful, even teachers who I never had as a teacher still offers there help if needed.
Mayor Bloomburg believes that the school system and school staff have actually listened to the parents ideas and the teachers ideas which made these city schools turn out different and better. I noticed myself don't know if its the school that helped me, but I do know I have been doing better then last year in school. In other words, I agree with the article and I am satisfied with my education, I have no complaints and if i shall ever mess up in grades it would be my fault, being that I have so many opportunities and help here in West Side High School. I wouldn't change anything in my school maybe except that we get Mc Donald's or Subways or a nice selection of lunch instead of having me starve until after school.
